Our Homes

We care for children and young people aged 8 to 17 who have experienced trauma, neglect, or significant life challenges. Many of the young people we support have complex emotional, behavioural, or social needs. Our approach is always tailored to the individual's strengths, personality, and aspirations.

Our homes are built on consistency, compassion, and possibility. With the right support and a sense of belonging, we believe every young person can have a bright future. We believe young people aren't problems to solve, they're individuals to stand beside and support every step of the way.

Each of our homes is a small, family-style setting, carefully designed to feel welcoming, consistent, and safe. Our size allows us to remain agile and personal. With no corporate red tape, decisions are made quickly and always with the child's best interest at the centre.

We embed a therapeutic approach into all that we do. Through our partnership with a therapeutic provider, we ensure that trauma-informed practice and emotional wellbeing are central to our care. Our therapeutic partner supports both young people and staffthroughdirect work, consultation, training, and ongoing professional guidance, enabling us to deliver high-quality, consistent care that truly makes a difference.

We also offer dog therapy, a unique and powerful part of our care model. The presence of therapy dogs helps to create calm, build trust, and foster natural and effective emotional regulation.

At Footsteps, we don't just provide a place to live, we create a place to develop.
