Testimonials

I started at Footsteps nearly four years ago as a Residential Support Worker, and I've since progressed to Senior and now Deputy Manager. It's been an incredible journey — one filled with growth, learning, and purpose. The training programme at Footsteps has been second to none. It's given me the tools and confidence to take on new challenges and grow into leadership. I've also been lucky to be part of some truly special initiatives, like our dog therapy programme, which has had such a positive impact on the young people we support. But what stands out the most are the everyday moments — the support we offer, the adventures we share, and the bonds we build with the young people in our care.
Footsteps isn't just where I work — it's where I've grown, and where I've seen lives change. I'm proud to be part of it. – Deputy (2025)

I've worked at Footsteps for a year now, and it soon became clear how much this company cares for its employees. The training available and regular supervisions are incredibly valuable, and all contribute to the high level of therapeutic care we provide for our young people. There is opportunity for progression once you've started on your diploma and so much support on offer to help you complete it. Each day can be different; it's not an office job. There are many activities to take part in with the young people and as a support worker, your input into planning helps to create an exciting and rewarding shift. I came from a position in education and it's worth thinking about what transferable skills you have to join such an inclusive company and be part of enriching the lives of young people. – RSW (2025)

Thank you all for your professionalism and excellent work with this young man – I know it has not been an easy ride but you have enabled a smooth transition which he will benefit from when he looks back on his journey and reflects – he has so many good memories and positive times from Roundy! – Social Worker (2025)

I've worked for Footsteps for nearly three years. Throughout my time, I have been supported through my Level 4 Diploma, progressed from RSW to Senior RSW and have always felt valued and listened to as an employee. I would thoroughly recommend working for Footsteps. – Senior (2025)

Having worked with Footsteps for over a year, I can safely say this is the most fulfilling job I've ever had. – RSW (2025)

Managers and staff prioritise children's education. The children living in the home have both struggled to attend school. Managers and staff work closely with educational professionals to ensure that children are supported in line with their needs. When children cannot access formal education, staff provide educational opportunities in the home. The children enjoy learning and developing essential skills for their future. – Ofsted June 2025
